We would like to extend a warm welcome to Joey Razak who recently joined the Gearhouse Group team, as Cape Town’s Branch Manager as of the 1st of November 2019. Joey started his career in the automotive industry with no formal or professional training straight out of Matric and quickly progressed into the live events industry.

With over twenty years of experience, Joey has served various roles within the industry including being the technical manager for AV Alliance at the Cape Town International Conference Centre, operations director at Inhouse Venue Technical Management, and Co-Owner and Director for Conference Systems Cape Town. Joey has had the opportunity of working in many fields performing big projects in South Africa, Africa and the Middle East.

Outside of work, Joey is a family man and avid motor racing and car enthusiast.

Joey Razak worked with Gearhouse in the early 2000 and left the company to pursue other roles. He says that Gearhouse has always had a special place in his heart, hence when Ofer, Nasser and Charl approached him, he couldn’t resist any longer and decided to come back home.

Joey sees himself as part of the team irrespective of his position and plans to add his knowledge and expertise that he has gathered to help better harness the strength and full potential of the team he’s working with and together take it to greater heights. He has learnt and observed the pride and dedication that his colleagues have for their work and the company, and he’s confident that the effort the team are making will result in personal growth and professional success all round.

Welcome back, Joey! We wish you all the success with your new endeavour.
